Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) shall be read in conjunction with and in addition to the Terms of Use. The Inner Shift Private (“The Inner Shift”, “we”, “our” or “us”) recognizes and respects the importance of your privacy and is committed to safeguarding it in accordance with applicable laws. This Policy sets out in detail the categories of information collected by The Inner Shift when you access or use the platform (“Platform”), the manner of such collection, usage, storage, disclosure, and processing of such information, together with the legal basis and rationale for such collection and processing. It further outlines your rights, obligations, and choices with respect to your personal information submitted to us while availing the services offered through the Platform (“Services”).

For the purposes of this Policy, the terms “you”, “your” and “User(s)” shall refer to all individuals accessing or using the Platform, and shall include “Learners” and “Coaches” as defined under the Terms of Use. Access to and use of the Services are subject to this Policy, the Terms of Use, and any other policies, rules, or guidelines published on the Platform from time to time (collectively, “Platform Terms”). By continuing to access the Platform, providing your information, or expressly indicating your consent (where applicable), you acknowledge and agree to the collection, usage, disclosure, and storage of your information as set out herein. The Inner Shift disclaims all liability arising out of any use or reliance by you on the Services, except as expressly provided under the Platform Terms.

If you have submitted Personal Information (as defined below) prior to reading this Policy and do not consent to the manner of collection, storage, or usage herein, you may access, rectify, or delete such Personal Information in accordance with Section 9 of this Policy. If any information provided or uploaded by you violates the Platform Terms, The Inner Shift may, delete such information and suspend or revoke your access to the Platform if deemed necessary.

Capitalized terms not defined under this Policy shall have the meaning ascribed to them under the Terms of Use.

1. PERSONAL INFORMATION

“Personal Information” shall mean any information that identifies or may be used to identify a User, including but not limited to first name, last name, identification number, email address, age, gender, geographic location, photograph, and/or contact number, as provided during registration or thereafter.

“Sensitive Personal Information” shall mean and include the following categories: (i) passwords and financial data (excluding truncated card details limited to the last four digits), (ii) health-related information, (iii) government-issued identifiers (including biometric data, Aadhaar number, social security number, passport, driver’s license, etc.), (iv) data relating to sexual orientation, sexual preferences, race, ethnicity, religious or political beliefs, (v) account credentials, or (vi) any data categorized as “sensitive personal data” or “special category data” under the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), or similar data protection legislations (“Data Protection Laws”).

Unless specifically requested, you are advised not to submit any Personal Information to The Inner Shift. In the event you voluntarily disclose such information without requisition, The Inner Shift shall not be held liable for its collection, use, or processing.

The Inner Shift shall act as the “data controller” of the Personal Information collected and processed through the Platform.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The Inner Shift collects User-related information (“User Information”) only where there exists a lawful basis to do so, including for the provision of Services, communication, and enhancement of the Platform.

2.1. Information collected directly from Users:  

– Basic account details such as name, country, state of residence, phone number, email address, password, username, and other relevant identifiers.  

– KYC details (in the case of Coaches), including but not limited to PAN, Aadhaar, passport, driver’s license, incorporation documents, constitutional documents, list of directors/partners, etc.  

– User-generated inputs such as comments, queries, messages, and feedback, whether submitted through the Platform, surveys, contests, events, webinars, or otherwise.  

– Location-based information (where consent is provided), including GPS data.  

– Information regarding Minors (where applicable) as provided by their legal guardian or parent, in accordance with the Terms of Use. Any portion of the data containing  personal information relating to a minor shall be deemed to be given by the minors parent.

2.2. Information collected automatically:  

– Device and login-related data such as browser type, IP address, device identifiers, operating system, mobile network, date and time of access, and referring site.  

– Usage patterns, including page views, feature interactions, device specifications, and retention statistics.  

– Approximate geolocation through IP address.  

– Data through cookies and similar technologies.

2.3. Information collected from third-party sources:  

– Data available in the public domain.  

– Data shared by third-party service providers, affiliates, or integrated platforms, including social media platforms and authentication services such as Google sign-in.

3. BASIS OF COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

3.1. Collection and processing shall be carried out on the following lawful bases:  

(a) Consent, where explicit authorization is required;  

(b) Compliance with a legal obligation, where mandated by applicable law.

3.2. Processing may be undertaken for purposes outlined under this Policy or otherwise permitted under law. Where processing is based on consent, such consent may be withdrawn by written request to the Grievance Officer. Upon withdrawal, The Inner Shift reserves the right to discontinue Services where continuation is impracticable without such data.

4. PURPOSE AND USAGE OF INFORMATION

The Inner Shift shall use and process collected information strictly for lawful purposes, including but not limited to:  

4.1. Provision of Services, including account maintenance, verification, fulfilment of transactions, and resolution of technical issues;  

4.2. Communication of relevant information such as course content, updates, notifications, links, and related resources;  

4.3. Enhancement of Platform functionality, analysis of usage trends, development of new features, and safeguarding against fraud, cybercrime, or misuse.

5. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

The Inner Shift shall not sell or disclose Personal Information for monetary consideration. Disclosure shall be limited to the following circumstances:  

5.1. To third-party service providers engaged for technical, operational, or customer support functions;  

5.2. To Coaches for facilitation of learning activities;  

5.3. Pursuant to legal or regulatory requirements, or upon lawful request by government authorities;  

5.4. To affiliates, subsidiaries, or entities under common control;  

5.5. In connection with corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or bankruptcy;  

5.6. To advertising and analytics partners through cookies;  

5.7. With your prior consent or as directed by you.

6. DURATION OF STORAGE

Personal Information shall be retained only for as long as is necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes specified herein or as required under applicable laws. Upon deletion of an account, data shall ordinarily be erased from our servers, subject to legal and regulatory obligations. Aggregated or anonymized data may be retained for statistical purposes.

7. USER CHOICES

Users may exercise the following choices:  

7.1. Reject or disable cookies via browser settings (subject to loss of certain functionalities);  

7.2. Limit or update the information voluntarily disclosed;  

7.3. Restrict communications from The Inner Shift, except those required by law or for security purposes.

8. SECURITY

The Inner Shift employs industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Information. Notwithstanding such safeguards, The Inner Shift shall not be liable for unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse attributable to third-party actions, user negligence, or force majeure.

9. USER RIGHTS

Users are entitled to the following rights:  

9.1. Right to confirmation and access;  

9.2. Right to rectification of inaccurate or outdated data;  

9.3. Right to be forgotten;  

9.4. Right to erasure of data, subject to conditions outlined herein.

10. USER DUTIES

Users shall:  

10.1. Comply with applicable laws;  

10.2. Refrain from impersonation;  

10.3. Disclose only authentic and accurate data;  

10.4. Avoid frivolous complaints;  

10.5. Ensure accuracy while exercising rights of correction or erasure.

11. COOKIES

The Platform employs cookies for authentication, preference storage, and analytics. Users may disable cookies, but certain functionalities may be impaired.

12. MODIFICATION OF POLICY

This Policy may be updated periodically at our sole discretion. Continued use of the Platform after publication of changes shall constitute acceptance thereof. No retrospective reduction of user rights shall be effected without explicit consent.

The Inner Shift shall endeavour to acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 business days.

14. EFFECTIVE DATE

This Privacy Policy shall take effect from the date of its last publication, being 01 October 2025, and shall remain in force until amended or replaced.


The refunded amount would be credited to the customer’s bank account within 3 to 4 days .
